I had a great opportunity to travel last week with Illinois Farm Bureau Leaders to Washington, D.C. I have great respect for all the work they do for agriculture. Returning home, the crops have really progressed. I have some soybeans I hope to cut over the weekend, and corn is drying slow but steady. Just hoping the crop is as huge as the crop report said.
Very dry conditions across the area. Corn and soybeans have started to change. With limited precipitation, the yields have to be lower than one thought. In a few weeks, harvest will be here.
